The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes.
All dogs were given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, are dewormed and are heartworm negative. All dogs are microchipped.
The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. The visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. You can reach the Shelter at 937-547-1645.
Landry is a 7-year-6-month-old neutered male Husky mix who’s looking for a fresh start after coming to the shelter through no fault of his own—his owner was moving and could not take him along .We were told that Landry is good with kids and other dogs, and that he is both housebroken and crate trained. He has also been described to us as a very loving dog by his previous owners. Landry has shown us that he knows how to sit, enjoys being outside soaking up the sunshine, and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Landry has so much love to give and is ready to find a home. Landry weighs in at 73 lbs.Richard came to us as part of a neglect case involving 14 dogs who sadly didn’t receive the care they deserved—but he hasn’t let that dim his loving spirit. We’ve been told that Richard is a 1 year old male intact Terrier/Boxer mix . He may be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience, his sweet personality really begins to shine. Richard already knows how to sit, loves treats, and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. He’s a fun and rewarding companion who just needs someone to believe in him. Richard is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly belong. Richard did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 46 lbs. Ivan came to us as part of a neglect case involving 14 dogs who sadly didn’t receive the care they deserved—but he’s ready to leave that past behind. We’ve been told Ivan is a 1-year-old intact male Terrier/Dachshund mix. He can be a little shy at first and will need a patient adopter willing to give him time to warm up and feel safe. Ivan loves treats and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. With a little guidance and a lot of love, he’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. Ivan did great for exam where he weighs in at 23 lbs.
