Since its launch in 2021, First Presbyterian Church’s Festival of the Risen King has grown into a familiar spring tradition for many Greenville families.
Created as a creative Easter outreach for FPC’s downtown location, the festival was designed to offer families a free and memorable alternative to a traditional egg hunt. This year’s event, held on Saturday, April 25, welcomed 134 children and their families for an afternoon of games, prizes, activities, and free lunch.
With beautiful weather throughout the day, families enjoyed both indoor and outdoor activities made possible by approximately 40 volunteers and numerous generous sponsors—most from the FPC church family.
Beyond the activities themselves, the festival continues to serve as an important connection point between FPC and the Greenville community. Many families first introduced to the church through this event later return for programs like Vacation Bible School and other church activities.
What began as a creative outreach has become one of FPC’s ongoing efforts to serve local families during the Easter season through hospitality, generosity, and community connection.
