Connie Lou Etter age 84, of Covington passed away at 12:03 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.
Connie was born March 18, 1937, in Bradford to the late Judson H. & Dorothea E. (Harrison) Minnich. In addition to her parents, Connie was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Etter; sisters, Mary Minnich, Eileen Minnich, Sherry Minnich, Sandra Abney, Portia Nowlin and Deborah Kessler; and a brother, Larry Minnich.
Connie is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Etter whom she married December 7, 1958; children, Douglas & Tonya Etter of North Canton, Stephen Etter of Bradford, Michael Etter of Piqua, Paul Etter of Dayton and Cathleen & Mike Henne of Piqua; grandchildren, Juliet Etter, Brittney Neil, Jessica Etter, Ashley Barnt, Kelly Etter, Zachary Henne and Lilly Henne; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Dershem of Arcanum; and special friends, Chris & Dennis Barbee of Covington.
Connie was a 1955 graduate of Bradford High School. Connie along with her husband, Ralph co-owned RACO Cutting. She formerly worked at Piqua Toy Factory, The Spot Restaurant, Corning Glass and Stanley Garage Door Openers. Connie was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Covington.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Friedens Lutheran Church 11038 West Versailles Rd. Covington with Pastor Ippy Mwakabonga officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice in Connie’s memory.
