
Eldora Speedway fans were treated to an unforgettable evening during Family Fireworks Night #1, presented by Casey’s on May 2, 2026. The event delivered exactly what its name promised—high-speed racing, family-friendly entertainment, and a dazzling finish in the sky.
From the moment the gates opened, there was a buzz of excitement throughout the historic venue. Families, longtime racing fans, and first-time visitors alike gathered to enjoy a full night of action across three competitive classes: Midgets, Modifieds, and Super Stocks.
The Midget feature race showcased thrilling passes and tight competition. Charging forward from a fourth-place starting position, Luke Hall drove a determined race to capture the win. Bryce Massingill secured second, followed by Drew Rader in third. Ian Creager and Matt Lux rounded out a strong top five in a race that kept fans on their feet.
In the Modified division, Jonathan Taylor made the most of his pole position, leading a controlled and confident race from start to finish. John Shidler chased hard but settled for second, with Jason Kinney claiming third. Evan Taylor and Jeff Koz completed the top five in another competitive showing.
The Super Stocks brought plenty of excitement as well, with Rob Trent advancing from his second-place starting spot to take the checkered flag. Jeff Matheny finished second, while Chad Poorman earned third. Daniel Sanchez and Nick Bowers closed out the top five in a race filled with side-by-side action.
As the engines cooled, the evening transitioned into a spectacular drone show that lit up the night sky with coordinated patterns and vibrant colors—captivating fans of all ages. The grand finale came with a breathtaking fireworks display, providing the perfect ending to an already memorable night.
