Michael Ray Roth, age 67, of Ansonia, Ohio passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at his residence. Michael was born September 27, 1957 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Dale and Norma Jane (Wray) Roth.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son Tim Sanner.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara (Roe) Roth whom he married on February 8, 1992; his son, Matt Sanner; his sister, Alexa (Kirt) Clark; brother, Mitchell (Judy) Roth; as well as numerous nieces, extended family members and friends.
Mike was a 1976 graduate of Mississnawa Valley High School. He was a farmer and carpenter by trade. Mike was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville. He loved motorcycles and was a past member of the Treaty City Motorcycle Club. It was here that he gained the nickname “Cheesey”. Mike’s hobbies included flying, traveling and fishing. When his special needs son was alive, Mike took the time to take him to the farm, and he fondly will be remembered for “allowing Tim to be Tim”. Mike was a loving and generous person to all he encountered and often went out of his way to help those in need.
A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 12th at the Bible Fellowship Church, 7757 Greenville- Celina Rd. Greenville, OH with Pastor Scott Gruber officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12th from 10:00 until the time of the service at the church.
