The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes.
All dogs were given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, are dewormed and are heartworm negative. All dogs are microchipped.
The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. The visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. You can reach the Shelter at 937-547-1645.
Give it up for Antonio! This sweet old man came to us as a stray, so unfortunately, we do not know much about his past. What we do know is that Antonio has been nothing but friendly and loving during his time here at the shelter. We believe Antonio is an 8-year-old neutered male Pit Bull mix. He has already shown us that he knows how to sit, shake, and lay down — especially if treats are involved! Antonio absolutely loves snacks and spending time with people. Antonio is a super sweet boy who simply wants to be loved. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. He did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 81 lbsGruff came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past, but this handsome boy is ready to put it behind him and start a brand-new chapter. We believe Gruff is around 1 year old and an intact Wirehaired Terrier Mix with a curious personality and a heart full of love. Gruff has shown us that he absolutely loves being outside where he can explore, sniff around, and take in everything happening around him. He’s a super lovable boy who simply wants affection and a family to call his own. Whether he’s out adventuring or soaking up attention from his favorite people, Gruff is happiest when he’s surrounded by love. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and has been making good progress with his leash training. With patience, kindness, and a loving home, Gruff is sure to become a loyal and devoted companion. Gruff did great for his exam where he weighed 30 lbs. Meet Wolfie — a sweet and scruffy young pup ready to find his forever home! Wolfie came to us as a stray, so his past is still a bit of a mystery, but what we do know is that this handsome guy is full of love and charm. We believe he’s around 1 year old and an intact Wirehaired Terrier Mix with a playful spirit and an even bigger heart. Wolfie has already shown us that he knows how to sit, especially when treats are involved! He absolutely loves being around people and is happiest when he’s soaking up attention, affection, and cuddles from everyone he meets. This lovable guy is eager to leave his past behind and begin a bright new chapter with a family of his very own. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and has been making great progress with his leash training. With a little patience, love, and continued guidance, Wolfie is sure to blossom into an amazing companion. He did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 24.5 lbs.
