Wanted Person
On May 13th, 2026, at approximately 2222 hours a known wanted subject was apprehended at 208 Tillman Avenue in the city of Greenville. Andrew Jay was known to have an arrest warrant out of Preble County for a probation violation with no bond.
Upon my arrival I made contact with a male subject who lived at the listed address and who advised Andrew Jay was staying with him and lead us to the bedroom where Andrew was sleeping. We made contact with Andrew and advised him that he had an arrest warrant and was under arrest. Andrew complied and turned around.
I placed Andrew in handcuffs that were gap checked and double locked. Andrew was searched incident to arrest and no contraband was located. Andrew’s warrant was confirmed through LEADS/NCIC by GPO Dispatch. Andrew was transported to the Darke County and Preble County line. Andrew was released to a Preble County Sheriff’s Deputy to be transported to the Preble County Jail.
I checked my cruiser before and after transport and no contraband was located.

On May 21, 2026, at 2355 hours I was dispatched to 5436 ST RT 49 #55 on a verbal argument between Chris and Gina Laprairie.
Gina stated that ever since Chris got home from rehab, he hasn’t wanted her. Gina said while Chris was in rehab he called her and needed money, so he wanted her then but now he no longer seems interested in her and it was making her upset.
Chris stated that Gina does things to pester him and he doesn’t like that, so he wants to just stay in the living room area away from Gina. I advised them both that this is something the two of them need to talk about amongst themselves and to stay away from each other for the night.
DUI
On May 21st, 2026, at approximately 0458 AM while on patrol in a marked police cruiser in the City of Greenville, OH was traveling West on Pine St attempting to make a left hand turn and travel South onto Sweitzer St. As I was in the middle of the intersection, I observed a gold-colored SUV traveling at a faster rate of speed coming toward me, the driver failed to yield the stop sign passing me in the middle of the intersection. I was able to flip around on the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop.
As I made contact with the driver, she was identified as Betsy Brown. I was able to observe slow slurred speech coming from Betsy, when asked where she was heading Betsy stated that she was leaving her residence and going to her residence. I asked her if I could search her vehicle and she said yes, giving consent for the search. I had Betsy step out of the vehicle, during this time I was able to smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. As I conducted my consent search of the vehicle, I located a half empty bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila that was still frosted, a cold aluminum can of Bud Light and a half empty bag of mariJuana. After locating these items, I asked Betsy if she would perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which she stated yes.
The first test conducted was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, during this test I could again smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. I was able to observe distinct nystagmus at maximum deviation in both eyes, lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes and an onset of nystagmus before 45 degrees.
The next test performed was the walk and turn test. Betsy started before instructions were complete, stopped to steady herself, did not touch heel to toe, stepped off line, turned incorrectly, had an incorrect number of steps, and failed to complete the 9 heel to toe steps back. Betsy admitted to drinking alcohol hours prior to the traffic stop being conducted.
The third test, the one leg stand. Betsy put her foot down on multiple occasions and was unable to perform the test. Once the test was completed, I placed Betsy under arrest for OVI. She was then transported by cruiser to the Greenville Police Department where she was read the BMV 2255 form and gave consent for a breath test. Betsy’s BrAC was.164 g/2101 of breath. While at the Police Department Betsy was issued a citation for failure to yield stop sign, and OVI, she was given copies of all paperwork and advised of her mandatory court date and time. Betsy’s driver license was taken and placed under an administrative license suspension. Betsy was able to call for a ride, and she was picked up in the lobby of the police department.
Wanted Person
On May 21st, 2026, at approximately 1447 hours a known wanted person was apprehended.
I was patrolling in my marked patrol car in the 400 block of West Fourth Street in the City of Greenville. While on Patrol I observed Christopher Miller who I knew to have a warrant through Darke County for Failure to appear on an original charge of a CPO violation as well as myself having charges for another CPO violation. I observed Christopher in front of his residence at 407 West Fourth Street. I got out of my vehicle and yelled Christopher, it was at this time he ran near his residence and I lost sight of him.
Due to his warrant and Christophers was known to live at the listed address it was decided by officers to enter the residence. Once inside, Christopher was located upstairs near the stairwell. Christopher was then placed into handcuffs that were gap checked and double locked. I transported Christopher to the Darke County Jail without further incident.
The back seat was checked prior and after transport with nothing being located.

On May 21th, 2026, at approximately 1833 hours I was dispatched to 543 Wayne Ave, Greenville Ohio reference a domestic call.
BCI only between Anna Kenworthy and Thomas Burden. Anna and Thomas are currently in a romantic relationship and reside together. Thomas and Anna have no children in common and no children were present. Anna and Thomas were in a verbal argument with no signs or claims of a physical altercation. Thomas left the residence at the time of call and did not advise when he would return.
Wanted Person
On May 24th, 2026, at approximately 2015 hours I was on patrol near the intersection of Ohio Street and Martin Street.
I noticed a blue sedan traveling westbound on Martin Street and then made a left turn heading southbound on Ohio Street. The vehicle immediately pulled over and stopped blocking a driveway. As I passed the vehicle, I ran the vehicles Ohio registration KQQ8499 through Leads/NCIC. I continued to travel southbound on Ohio when the LEADS/NCIC return showed that the registered owner, James Allen, driver’s license was suspended and had an active arrest warrant out of Miami County. I turned around and parked across the street from the vehicle. I saw a female was stepping out of the driver’s seat and a male stepping out of the passenger seat. I stepped out of my cruiser and made a consensual conversation with the male. I asked him for an ID and handed me his driver’s license. I had dispatch check his ID through LEADS/NCIC and confirmed he was James Allen. I detained James and waited for dispatch to confirm the hit. I recited James his Miranda Rights and he stated he understood. While waiting for dispatch, P.0. Ward ran the vehicle’s Ohio registration through Dispatch. While waiting on the return James advised that the plates were fictitious. He could not register the new vehicle due to a warrant block being in place.
Dispatch advised Miami County did confirm the hit but did not have enough staff to meet at the county line and advised to transport him to the Darke County Jail. James was then placed under arrest. He was placed in handcuffs that were gap checked and double locked. His person was searched incident to arrest and no contraband was located. He was placed in the back of my cruiser.
I then asked the female for identification, and she supplied her social security number. Keisha Sheridan handed me James’s wallet to take to jail. James allowed Keisha to take the vehicle, and she was sent on her way. I got in my cruiser, and James advised me that he had contraband in his wallet. Please see report number 26-G00625 for further.
James was transported to the Darke County Jail to be incarcerated awaiting Miami County Sheriff’s Department to pick him up. I checked my cruiser before and after transport and no contraband was located.
Disorderly
On May 15, 2026, at approximately 0854 hours, I responded to 746 Martin Street in reference to a disorderly complaint.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with the complainant, Dylan Julian. Dylan advised he got into an argument with Destinee Parkman over property he has at the listed residence. Dylan stated he wanted to gather his items out of a RV in the backyard, which he has been living in for a few weeks, and leave the property. Destinee advised she would not let Dylan retrieve his property until Dylan paid her for work she had done for him. Destinee began to take Dylan’s items from the RV and place them in a pile in the backyard for him to get. While Destinee was doing this, Dylan’s mother, Linda Bruss, advised Destinee had assaulted her and she wished to pursue charges against her. Dylan advised he had video of the altercation, but the video shown at this time did not show anything physical between Destinee and Linda. Linda then left the property and came to the Greenville Police Department to file an assault report against Destinee. While speaking with Linda at the police department, she stated he had injuries to her hands, as well as an injury on the inside of her upper lip. Pictures were taken of injuries to Linda and will be attached to this report. Linda completed a statement and victim rights form which will be attached to this report.
Statements were also obtained from Destinee and Jami riddle. Linda was advised to send me any video she had of the incident to be attached to this report.
Dylan sent me another video that showed both Destinee and Linda were in each other’s faces engaged in an argument, which turned into a physical altercation. Both Destinee and Linda could be heard calling each other names and taunting one another. Destinee pushed Linda out of the RV where they got into each other’s face yelling. Destinee punched Linda in the mouth. Linda then tried to punch Destinee but missed. After the incident, both parties exited the RV.
Both parties were issued a citation for disorderly conduct on May 19,2026
