ROSSBURG, Ohio — A stellar evening from start to finish culminated in victory lane for Nick Hoffman on Wednesday night as he captured the FloRacing Night in America at Eldora Speedway, collecting the $20,000 winner’s prize after a commanding 50-lap performance.
Hoffman showed race-winning speed from the moment he unloaded his No. 9 machine. He set the fastest time during Hot Laps before backing it up with a strong qualifying effort, placing second in Group B qualifying. The momentum continued into the heat races, where Hoffman drove to victory and secured a favorable starting position for the night’s main event.
Lining up fourth for the 50-lap A Feature, Hoffman wasted little time moving toward the front. Once in contention, the driver of the No. 9 showcased the speed and consistency that had defined his evening, ultimately taking control of the race and leading the field to the checkered flag.
The victory marked another major triumph for Hoffman, who capped off a near-perfect night by claiming the $20,000 payday in one of dirt late model racing’s premier midweek events.
Devon Moran delivered an impressive charge through the field, advancing from the eighth starting position to finish second at the famed half-mile oval. Veteran racer Dale McDowell was equally impressive, climbing from 11th on the starting grid to secure the final podium position in third.
Rounding out the top five were Brandon Sheppard in fourth and Chris Ferguson in fifth, both putting together solid runs against a highly competitive field.
With the win, Hoffman added another prestigious Eldora Speedway victory to his résumé, turning a fast qualifying effort and heat race triumph into the night’s biggest prize. From fastest in Hot Laps to standing in Victory Lane, the No. 9 team executed flawlessly and left Rossburg with both the trophy and the $20,000 winner’s check.
