Larry Roger Addis Sr., 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2026, at 4:57 PM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Larry was born September 17, 1943, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Roger and Julia (McGreevey) Addis.
Larry served his country in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. He retired from GM after 30 years and spent his retirement being a handyman, working on mowers, cars, and other things; and most of all he loved helping his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Larry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley (Reeser) Addis; his children and spouses, Sherry Lynn and Scott Pearson, Larry and Amy Addis Jr., and Jennifer Leigh and Curt Vogelpohl; his grandchildren, Caleb and Kyle Baker, Blake, Olivia, and Evan Addis, and Zeke Vogelpohl; his great grandchildren, Avery, Bryce, and Aiden Baker; his brother, Don Addis Sr., his sister, Roberta Wentworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Larry will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Veterans Honors will be conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
