The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of scam calls where the caller claims to be Deputy Mark Whittaker and threatens arrest or legal action.
This is a scam and an attempt to get you personal and financial information. Do not respond to these calls or provide any information. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office does not call people to tell them they have arrest warrants.
If you ever have a concern about the identity of a deputy who may call you, get their name and call back on 937-548-2020 and ask dispatch to connect you with that deputy.
