
VERSAILLES — One of the highlights of the 75th Versailles Poultry Days celebration was the crowning of the 2026 Little Miss Poultry Days and the 75th Miss Chick Court, recognizing outstanding young women who represent the spirit and traditions of the community.
The Little Miss Poultry Days contest was held Friday, June 12, with Elise Huelsman crowned as the 2026 Little Miss Poultry Days. Elise is the daughter of Daniel and Cierra Huelsman of Versailles.
Named First Runner-Up was Alaina Pitsenbarger, daughter of Mitch and Shelby Pitsenbarger of Versailles.
The title of Second Runner-Up was awarded to Lucille Poeppelman, daughter of Charles and Amber Poeppelman of Versailles.
The celebration continued on Saturday, June 13, with the crowning of the Miss Chick Court.
Crowned the 75th Miss Chick was Grace Borchers of Willowdell, daughter of Charlie and Renae Borchers. Grace was sponsored by Versailles FFA.
Named First Runner-Up was Juliet Ahrens of Versailles, daughter of Jason and Hollie Ahrens. She was sponsored by VHS Cheer.
Receiving the honor of Second Runner-Up was Jenna Breeze of Versailles, daughter of Dan and Carla Breeze. She was sponsored by Phelan Insurance.
The contests were among many memorable events that helped make the 75th Versailles Poultry Days a tremendous success. Throughout the weekend, thousands of visitors enjoyed outstanding musical entertainment, family activities, community traditions, and, of course, the festival’s famous chicken dinners.
Adding to the excitement of the milestone celebration, Versailles Poultry Days set a new world record by serving 40,986 chicken dinners, surpassing previous records and further cementing the festival’s reputation as one of Ohio’s premier community events.
As the 75th anniversary celebration concluded, the newly crowned Little Miss Poultry Days and Miss Chick Court will serve as ambassadors for the festival and the Versailles community throughout the coming year.
