James “Jim” Robert Dumas, 65 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday June 29, 2026, at 5:24 PM at his residence. Jim was born on March 12, 1961, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Vivian (Ditmer) Dumas.
Jim worked at Hansbarger Home Solutions for 30 years and then worked at Fram for 10+ years. He was a member of St, Mary’s Catholic Church; he was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and had many collectables; he loved music especially Rush, he enjoyed riding his bike, spending time in his yard and was a history buff.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Jim is survived by his Wife Carmen (Snyder) Dumas of Greenville whom he married May 30, 1981; his children and spouses, Stephanie and Richard Baylis, Stephen and Leah Dumas, and Elizabeth and Phillip Howard; his grandchildren, Gabby, and Belah Dumas, Liam Howard, and Prestyn Dross; his siblings, Marie Dumas; and Cathy and Ken Willis; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and in laws.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St, Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday July 9, 2026, and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday July 10, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
