Gloria P. Steffen age 96, of Greenville passed away at 3:32 pm Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Brookdale of Greenville.
Gloria was born December 12, 1924, in Montgomery County, Georgia, to the late Joseph & Millie (Powell) Price. In addition to her parents, Gloria is also preceded in death by her husband, John William Steffen; brothers & sister-in-law, Allen (Lostine) Price and Robert Price; and sisters & brothers-in-law, Kathryn (Arthur) Dixon and Doris (Colonel Charles) Hubbard.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Elaine Kitchen & Theodore Kmiec of Greenville; granddaughter, Abigail (Daniel) Singer of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Jayden Hampton, Wesley Singer, Lily Singer and Jon Singer; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Price of Warner Robins, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Gloria was a homemaker and farm spouse. She spent forty-eight ½ years taking care of her husband. She was a very active member of the Greenville Missionary Church. Gloria was a wonderful cook.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 10, 2021, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Missionary Church or Greenville Township Rescue in Gloria’s memory.
