Robert Winston, Sr., 77, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born on April 29, 1944, in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late Jeff and Ester (Smith) Winston.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cora (Smith) Winston, whom he married May 11, 1965; his children, Mershela (Vassie) Scott of Amherst, Ohio, John Russell (Denise) Winston of Elk Grove, California, Jennifer (Thomas) Searcy of Elyria, Ohio, Plonza Winston of Chesapeake, Virginia, Robert Winston, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sarah (Alonzo) Wright of Euclid, Ohio; his 21 grandchildren; his 14 great grandchildren; and his brother, Joe Lewis Winston of Leeds, Alabama.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus, with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
Robert’s family will be receiving guests on Thursday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
