Evelyn “Lynn” Keller

Evelyn “Lynn” Keller, 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, after several years of failing health.

Lynn was born, at the home of her grandparents, on July 2, 1935, in Howard County, Indiana, to the late Lee and Edith (Vogus) Dixon.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her husbands, David “Bill” Keller and Roger “Jack” Stephenson; her grandson, Isaac Keller; and her great grandson, Levi Bankson.

Lynn was an outgoing and free-spirited person. She graduated from high school in Kokomo, Indiana, in 1953. She attended Earlham College Reid School of Nursing and graduated in 1956. She met “the love of her life” Bill Keller and they were married in 1956. After two years of working as a nurse, they began their family and spent 46 years together. She was a bus driver for Anthony Wayne School for 17 years. Driving was her passion, and she did it well. Lynn loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, ride motorcycles, swim, boat, and do any type of activity on the water. She played harmonica and was a huge Roy Rogers fan. She enjoyed classic movies and all things Hollywood. She loved playing card/board games with her children & grandchildren.

Lynn is survived by her children, Kraig (Ona) Keller of Florence, Kentucky, Julia Clark of Greenville, Gail (Mark) Bankson of Greenville, Scott (Jenny) Keller of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Kent Keller of Simpsonville, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Jason (Keely) Clark, Amber (Rob) Garrett, Susanna (Andrew) Keller, Lydia Keller, Danielle (Zach) Urbancic, Eric (Kenzie) Bankson, Jorden (Marta) Keller, Chase Keller, Caden, Jacob, and Jack Keller of Simpsonville; her great grandchildren, Phoenix Clark-Holliday, Colt Bankson, and Camden Graham; and her step grandchildren, Nathan, Clay and Sadie Bartunek, and Austin Graham, and Hayden (Cami) Graham. Lynn is also survived by her sister, Carolyn (Ed) Kammeyer of Kokomo, Indiana; her brothers-in-law, Bob, John, Karl (Dianna), & Kevin Keller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Jon Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Lynn’s family will be receiving guests on Saturday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
