On August 7, 2026 at approximately 11:35 am, Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire, Gettysburg Rescue and CareFlight, were dispatched to the 8100 block of US RT 36 East in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2013 Nissan Murano driven by, Teresa Meredith (62) of Greenville was traveling eastbound on US RT 36 E attempting to turn into the Flower Barrel. Mrs. Meredith turned in front of a westbound 2014 Lincoln driven by, Carmen Watt (67) of Greenville. Both vehicles struck head on causing the Lincoln to travel off the right side of the roadway coming to rest in a construction site.
Watt was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Gettysburg rescue with minor injuries. Meredith was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, her condition is unknown
