Paul Frederick Boyer went to be with his Lord and Savior at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana on September 6, 2025. Paul was born in Flint, Michigan on September 6, 1964, the youngest son of Donald and Janet (Coate) Boyer. Paul became a Christian at an early age and proclaimed Christ to everyone he met. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School in Michigan, worked as a high school competitive swim coach, then received an Associate’s Degree in General Studies at Mott Community College, Flint, Michigan. He also took voice lessons with his wonderful bass voice. Upon graduating from Specs Howard School of Broadcasting he worked as a newscaster in Michigan.
After moving to Greenville, Ohio, he met and married the love of his life, Lucinda (Bubb) Boyer. He continued singing in churches and events while working as a restaurant manager and in other career fields.
In addition to singing, he loved to play cards with family, fish, camp, swim, and study the Bible.
His wife and parents precede him in death. He is survived by his brother Scott (Katrina) Boyer, Troy; sister Beth (John) Vehre, Greenville; nephews James (Stephanie) Boyer, Daniel (Erika) Boyer, Alex Vehre, stepdaughter Ashley (Bubb) Smith, and seven great nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Greenville at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Endowment Fund.
