GOP Women to feature Council Member Ely
GREENVILLE, Ohio — The Darke County Republican Women’s Club (DCRWC) will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Double M Diner, 537 South Broadway #104, Greenville. Attendees should enter from East Fifth Street.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with the program to follow. Those attending may order from the restaurant menu at their own expense.
The featured speaker will be Delores Ely, Greenville City Council Member. Ely will discuss her experiences in city government, including how she became a member of Greenville City Council, changes she has experienced while serving in office, and her outlook for the future of the council.
“We believe it is important for citizens to have opportunities to hear directly from the people who serve our community,” said DCRWC Program Chairman Lyn Bliss. “Delores Ely will give us a firsthand look at what it is like to serve on Greenville City Council, how the council and community have changed during her time in office, and what she sees ahead for our city. We invite everyone—regardless of political affiliation—to join us for an informative evening and an opportunity to learn more about our local government.”
The program provides area residents an opportunity to hear firsthand about service on Greenville City Council and some of the changes and issues affecting local government.
DCRWC is a local political group open to all Republicans. It was founded to provide political education and legislative information; provide a wider knowledge of the principles of the Republican Party; increase the number of registered Republicans; recruit, promote, and support qualified Republican women for political office; give exposure to and work actively for all Republican candidates; and lend support to the activities of other Republican organizations. The DCRWC is a multi-generational, multi-cultural organization providing the structure and support for political activists to learn, engage, and flourish.
