Medicare open enrollment is approaching, and the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) is holding Medicare Checkup events statewide to help Ohioans understand their coverage options so they can choose a plan that best meets their needs.
Beginning in early September, OSHIIP will offer Medicare Checkup events both in person and virtually throughout Ohio. The events will cover Medicare basics and upcoming changes, prescription drug coverage, financial assistance programs, and strategies for managing out-of-pocket costs.
Before Medicare open enrollment begins Oct. 15, the events will focus on education and preparation. Once open enrollment begins, OSHIIP will also provide personalized Medicare plan comparisons and one-on-one counseling through Dec. 7.
OSHIIP will host virtual Medicare Checkup webinars on Oct. 13 and Nov. 13.
