Kirk Robert Swabb

Kirk Robert Swabb, 74, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.

He was born on July 17, 1947, in Greenville, to Marjorie (O’Connor) Swabb of Greenville, and the late Robert Swabb.

Kirk served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. After leaving the military, Kirk tried his hand at almost every career. He was a welder, a farmer, and for most of his life, he was a truck driver. Kirk was many things; he was a life-long resident of Greenville, an animal lover, he enjoyed western movies, and he loved history, especially WWII. He volunteered at the Grace Resurrection Community Food Bank and was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was an outdoorsman, hunter and firearms aficionado. Most importantly, he was a great father and wonderful grandfather.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Stefanie Brock) Swabb of Arcanum, Ohio; Jeff (Valerie) Swabb of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Jeremy Swabb of Statesboro, Georgia; and Joshua (Leslie) Swabb of Newnan, Georgia; his grandchildren, Autumn Brock, Azlynn, Krista and Christopher Swabb, Robert Swabb, and Joseph and Jordan Swabb; his siblings, Blain (Barbara) Swabb of Greenville; Brian Swabb of Greenville; Lynnette Vickery of Englewood, Ohio; and Onda (Carl) Frances of Cincinnati, Ohio; a close family friend, Ann Ditmor; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service, with full military honors provided by the Greenville Honor Guard, will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 131 E. 4th Street, Greenville, with Rev. Alan Knoke officiating.
