Welcome Fall at Bear’s Mill Fall Fest! The beauty of the Historic Mill and the beauty of autumn collide for
this weekend long festival.
The Fall Fest at Bear’s Mill will be held October 10th and 11th from 11am-5pm. This year we offer a
special fall welcome with all of your favorite fall foods; French bean soup, brats, hot dogs, soft pretzels,
apple dumplings with caramel sauce, iced pumpkin cookies, a coffee bar, and apple cider! There will also
be special tastings in the store to sample some new products and remind you why you love some
products that we’ve had on the shelves in the past. Hopefully we can help you find a new favorite that
Bear’s Mill can offer!
Entertainment this year is provided by various talented musicians around the area. Saturday we welcome
Danny Schnieble from 11:30-2:00pm, with Cindy Slick & Bill Westfall of the Green De Villes following
from 2:30-5:00pm. On Sunday Rocky Creek will begin the day from 11:30-2:00pm, with Noah Back
following from 2:30-5:00pm. We’re eager to hear the songs they’ve decided to play for us to keep us in
the fall spirit.
We have a pumpkin scavenger hunt for kids throughout the weekend, and a chance for them to learn
about Darke County Parks’ animal ambassadors on Saturday from 1pm-3pm. There will also be a fall
photo booth set up with the famous Bear’s Mill Model A truck, and apple butter made over a fire with
Wehrman Farms on Saturday. Vendors such as the Happy Lark, Threaded Memories, and a massage
therapist will be offering various goods and services. Poieo coffee will be around, serving up their fall
flavored coffees. There’s something for everyone with our vendors!
New this year, we also will be hosting a Bear’s Mill quilt raffle! We will be selling raffle tickets for $5 a
piece. This beautiful quilt was donated by Laurie Sieminski and is a Mariner’s Compass pattern – closely
resembling a mill stone. The winner will be pulled at the end of the Fall Fest on Sunday. Come by and
see it and get your tickets during the festival.
