Greenville, OH – The Legislative Committee of the Greenville Business & Professional Women’s Club (BPW) hosted the September 11, 2025 meeting held at the Darke Rural Electric Community Building in Greenville. The committee consisted of Chair Gail Snyder and members Deb Niekamp, Vicki Cost, Susan Fowble, Shelly Acker and Vicki Cost.
Committee chair Gail Snyder introduced the featured speaker Greg White, Greenville City Council Member. Greg started his talk asking how many members attend city council meetings and, do we like change. In his career he was known as a ‘change agent’ and a ‘fixer’. White suggests BPW members become more involved by attending council meetings at all levels. We need to bring our wants and needs to council to expect any change. Attend a meeting and request a timeline for action or an answer. The council needs to hear the needs of the community. If you don’t ask for something…you don’t get it. White appreciates Main Street Greenville’s involvement in downtown and encourages the Club members to ask what can you do to help? Greenville City Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Greenville City Building, Public Square, Greenville.
The Club is actively working on their annual guest night “Fall Into a Night of Giving’. It is to be held on Thursday, October 9th at 5:30PM at the Elks Club in Greenville, OH. Vendors and a silent auction are planned for the evening. For more information please contact committee chair Stacy Sykes at 937/621-1799 or csykes@woh.rr.com
