Michael Joseph McConnell age 64, of Versailles passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side at 4:35 pm Monday, March 14, 2022, at his residence.
Michael was born January 31, 1958, in Greenville to the late Doyle Albert & Bernadine Veronica (Lachat) McConnell. Michael was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McConnell; sister, Ronda Ward; and a nephew, Chad McConnell.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tonya J. (Meyers) McConnell whom he married May 12, 1989; children, Nichole Dickey of Ft. Recovery, Amy (Chad) Ridout of Union City, Ohio, Tom (Erin) McConnell of Virginia, Kyle McConnell of Union City, Indiana, and Stephanie Gilbert of Piqua; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Mackenzie, Logan, Austin (Sofia), Tyler, Kaitlyn, Avalyn, Kiyla, Hannah, Hayley, Rowe Easton and Frankiey; great-grandson, Theodore; and brother & sister-in-law, Ronald & Tanya McConnell of Gettysburg.
Michael worked in shipping and receiving at Lowe’s in Greenville. Michael was a jokester and pet lover. He enjoyed playing guitar, video games, building models and riding his motorcycle.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 601 East Main St. Union City, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
