DECEMBER 6, 1935 – AUGUST 6, 2022
Patricia Ann (Meckes) Faulkner, age 86, of Greenville peacefully passed away at 8:58 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Brethren retirement Community with her family at her side.
Patricia was born December 6, 1935, in Greenville to the late Pete and Irene (Helms) Meckes. In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Charles Richard Faulkner Jr. on September 9, 2021 whom she married December 23, 1956; her sister and brother in law, Merrie Jo and Jim Brock; her brothers and sisters in law, Tom Meckes, John and Phyllis Meckes, and Jack and June Meckes.
atricia is survived by her; children, Carolyn (Faulkner) & Andy Kingsborough of Clyde and Sam Faulkner of New Madison; grandchildren, Hala Faulkner, Hanna Faulkner, Tyler (Liliabeth) Stout, Patrick (Jessica) Stout, Johnathen Batten and Lyndsey Murphy; and great-grandchildren, Kelton Murphy, Raelynn Stout, Charlotte Stout, Everly Batten and Amelia Stout. Patricia was very well loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Greenville High School, she then attended Kent State; she was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and sang in the Choir all her life; she was a member of the Republicans Women’s Organization, the Civic Theater; she performed in a one woman show both in Bellevue and Greenville, she loved to volunteer and was a volunteer at the Bellevue Welcome Wagon; she was a card Player and was a member of various bridge clubs. She loved her dogs and all animals.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022, funeral service at 12:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. A luncheon to follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund or EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
