Drivers from 3 countries battled for the most coveted trophy in dirt late model racing – but at the end only one could be the winner: the 2022 winner of the World 100 is Jonathan Davenport (#49). He won the World 100 trophy for the fifth time within the last 7 years.
Davenport dominated the 100-laps-race for many laps until Brandon Overton took the lead for a few laps. But a restart in Lap 55 brought Davenport back into the leading position – which he held until the finish line.
Davenport won earlier this year the Eldora Million.
Second was Brandon Overton (#76), third Chris Madden (#44), fourth Tim McCreadie (#39), Ricky Thornton Jr. (#20RT) finished fifth.
Following the information about the other races that took place from Wednesday on:

A total of $5,000 in Shane Unger Memorial Rookie awards were available to the 28 Rookie drivers this weekend, including $2,000 to the top finishing driver. Shane Unger, dirt-track racer from Rossburg/OH, was killed in an accident at a race at Eldora in 2016.
Besides the races, there was a lot of fun and entertainment for the visitors – and also every day the possibility to win some money in a 50/50 raffle. The Saturday 50/50 raffle paid $81,468 to the winner (that’s more than JD got for his win of the World 100…). Bands played on Wednesday and Thursday after the racing and on Friday there was the Tony Stewart Foundation Cornhole Tournament!
The Tony Stewart Foundation, founded in 2003, provides grant funding to well-qualified organizations serving children who are critically ill or physically disabled; animals at-risk or endangered; and drivers injured in the sport of motor racing.
Eldora Speedway (a.k.a. “The Big E”) is the world’s greatest dirt track and one of Darke County’s attractions, known far beyond Ohio. The race track was built in 1954 by Earl Baltes and is now owned by three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart.
