The Illumination Light in the Darke 2022 was held on Saturday 17, 2022.
The weather was perfect and the committee put a lot of attractions together: games on the midway, like a rock climbing wall, laser tag, inflatables, and other games. They also had 3 local artists this year in the Ohio center/spiritual life building.
A total of 8 food vendors made sure with their food trucks that nobody went hungry.
Instead of charging for parking, the organizers invited people to help their local Fish food pantry by bringing non perishable food items or monetary donations!
The highlight of the event was the band Big Daddy Weave (see photos in our gallery).
Illumination is a 501c3 Non-Profit. Marty McCabe shared:
“I had a nudge from God to have a Christian music festival at the Fairgrounds 17 years ago. I went into the fairgrounds and talk to the manager and he was all for it and away we went.”
They formed a committee/board and started and had an event every year, except in 2020.
We’re looking forward to the coming years! The next big event will be on the third Saturday of September 2023!
