A. Dwight Emmons, 95 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at 5:02 PM at Village Green Health Campus, Greenville, Ohio. He was born June 27, 1926 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of the late George and Gertrude (Hicks) Emmons.
Dwight served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as an electrician for Greenville Manufacturing.
Dwight was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; V.F.W. Post 7262, Greenville, Ohio; he loved fishing, watching NASCAR and attending and watching the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and the Dayton Dragons.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife: Anita Jane (Stocker) Emmons on January 7, 1993; his 2nd wife: Marilyn (Robbins) Emmons on March 3, 2018; and his brothers and sister: George, Clarence, John, and Mary Jane.
Dwight is survived by his children and spouse: Cheryl Emmons, Jeff and Judy Emmons, and Linda Hunt; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday February 24, 2022 at the funeral home. Veterans Honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or Greenville V.F.W. Post 7262.
