Alfalfa Testing Research

An Extension Forage Specialist from the University of Kentucky is looking to sample alfalfa stands from farmers in Darke County. In particular, they are looking for pure alfalfa stands between one and five years old.

The sampling process includes soil samples, tissue samples, yield, and stem counts. The alfalfa producer is also surveyed on the production practices and past fertility.
