Alice M. (Riggs) Hollenback, age 94 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:16 AM Monday December 27, 2021 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center Greenville, Ohio. Alice was born December 19, 1927 in Greenville and the daughter of the late H.B. and Agnes (Michael) Riggs.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hollenback whom she married August 24, 1946 in San Diego, CA. Also her great grandson Peyton Philpot, sisters and brothers Mary Darner, Ruth Miller, Lois Riggs, Robert Riggs, Harold Riggs and Gerald Riggs.
Alice graduated from Greenville High School in 1945. She worked at Westinghouse in Union City, Indiana for 31 years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Greenville.
Alice is survived by her daughters Carol (Richard) Sander of Greenville and Sondra (Ed) Matthieu of West Milton, Ohio; grandchildren Stephanie (Sander) (David) Green of Greenville and Timothy (Carla) Philpot of Vandalia; great grandchildren Jordan (Philpot) (Greg) Kozel of West Chester, Ohio, Mariah Green, Blake Green, Chase Green and Sophia Green all of Greenville.
Alice was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed every day.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday December 31, 2021 in the St. John Lutheran Church 7418 State Route 121-N. Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens of Greenville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given the St. John Luther Church Greenville, Ohio.
