AUGUST 17, 1953 – AUGUST 9, 2023
Ann Marie Andros, 69 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 6:34 PM at her residence. Ann was born August 17, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and June (Ritzenthalar) Ankenbrandt.
Ann was a devoted volunteer for EUM Church where she served in the children’s ministry and making sure each seat was prepared for Sunday services. Ann was an avid walker, and would walk 5 miles most days with her friend Jennifer. Throughout her life, Ann was a consummate caregiver, both to her family and to children around the neighborhood who sought her out for some of the best cookies ever. She decorated for every holiday, not just the majors. Do not even think about using profanity in her house.
Ann loved to celebrate and celebrated her birthday for a week. She displayed candy in every room of her house, but never weighed more than 120 lbs. She loved music and could not be stopped once she started to dance.
Ann was recently described as the sweetest person they have ever known. This is a sentiment felt by all of those she touched especially neighbors, friends and family. She will be missed by all.
Ann is survived by her husband of 48 years Joe Andros; her son, Joseph Andros III; her daughter, Kelly Marie Andros and Andy Bates; her grandchildren, Frankie Andros, and Sunny Bates; her siblings, William “Bill” Ankenbrandt, Robert “Bob” Ankenbrandt, Jack Ankenbrandt, Ed Ankenbrandt, and Mary Ellen Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Transplant House of Cleveland or the donor’s choice.
Fond memories or expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.zecharbailey.com for the Andros family.
