Ann Marie “Mert” Link age 81, of Versailles passed away at 9:20 pm Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her granddaughter’s residence.
Ann was born November 10, 1940, in Darke County to the late Francis & Evelyn (Thobe) Marchal. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Link on April 6, 2003, whom she married December 8, 1979; sons, William McCarty and Jeffrey Harden; daughter, Rebecca Mincer; granddaughter, Marjorie Lynn Davis; brothers, Henry Marchal, Omar Marchal, Gary Marchal and Paul Thobe; and sister, Barbara Marchal.
Ann is survived by her children, Deanna Davis of Versailles, Jodie Mincer of Quincy, Daniel McCarty of Bradford, Christy & Denny Hunt of Versailles and Lee Link of Bradford; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Rinderle of Versailles, Evelyn Young of Piqua and Mary Lou Runner of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann was a homemaker and formerly worked at Poultry Producers in Versailles before retiring from Cooper Foods in St. Henry in 2002 with 15 years of service. Ann was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Denis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
