Riffell, Anna Louise, age 87, of Gordon, OH passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, April 14, 2023, following a sudden illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Treva & Raymond Ritz, Sr., by her husband Robert Riffell, by her daughter, Lora Rhodehamel and by a brother, Raymond Ritz, Jr.
She was a member of SonRise (Grace) UMC/St. Matthew’s Lutheran in Ithaca and part of the church’s Mission Angels volunteers, who touched many people in need in and around her community.
She retired as a sales associate with Sears. She loved sitting on her front porch watching birds. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, neighbors and church family.
Louise is survived by a daughter, Vickie Edmonds (Wayne); son, Doug Riffell (Sharon); 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Ritz (Nancy); sister, Dixie Robbins (Paul) & numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held 12-2 pm Sat. April 22 at SonRise Church, 750 Arcanum-Ithaca Rd. Arcanum, OH 45304. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 pm. Burial will be scheduled at the convenience of the family. The family requests that everyone dress casually for the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SonRise Church.
