GREEBVILLE- While smoking in the grandstands is prohibited, smoking cars on the track is a welcomed sight.
With over 150 cars, vans and trucks entered, the derby had plenty of action as the sound of crunching metal, white smoke, fire and even a gender reveal party was all a part on the night.
While the gender reveal ceremony let the lucky couple know the upcoming birth of their child was going to be a girl, it was the fourth heat of the night that had the place rocking.
Over 30 vans and SUV’s entered the track, while one lonely truck stood alone. It was a first for the fair and was an action packed heat.
Every year, the derby is the most anticipated event of the fair even though it’s the last event of the year.
Many left the track wondering what will happen next year.
While no one knows the answer, one thing’s for certain, only 2024 has the answers.
