The word community derives in part from the Latin word commünitás, which means “joint possession or use, participation, sharing, social relationship, fellowship.” At the Arcanum Public Library that is in part our goal, to provide a shared space for use of patrons participating to engage in social fellowship with others in our area through our programs and various resources available.
As we share our resources available for checkout, offer suggestions of our own favorites or help guide you searching for materials needed, we desire to do so with this goal to serve as a resource available in building the community, both individually and as a whole. We are glad to provide so many avenues for our patrons to share in the use of our books, magazines, computers, hots spots, STEM kits, tablets, seed packets, movies, and audio books, along with our many online options for patrons.
Through our various programs, we are striving to create a space for all ages to find something to enjoy, share creativity and wisdom, or learn a new skill. This upcoming month of April we hope you will be able to join us for the following programs:
~Storytime: Thursdays, April 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th at 10am
