ARCANUM- The Arcanum Trojans were able to defend their home field Thursday night by defeating Mississnawa Valley 42-6.
While the first half proved to be a disaster for the Trojans, highlighted by nine penalties Arcanum got it together in the second quarter.
“We had to get it together fast,” said Arcanum coach Kyle Macy. “If we didn’t, Mississinawa was going to take us9-6 down and that was unacceptable.”
Holding a slim 9-6 lead after one, the Trojans decided to play Arcanum football the rest of the way as the Trojans took a 16-6 lead at the break.

Sophomore quarterback MJ Macy took control of Trojans offense, gaining 175 yards on 25 carries, scoring two touchdownsin the process.
The lone score for the Hawks came on a 65 yard run by sophomore Michael Bell with 2:26 remaining in the opening quarter.
Arcanum 2-1(2-0 in the WOAC) will travel to Ansonia Friday to do battle with the Tigers
Mississinawa Valley 1-2 will host Tri-Village Friday.
