Although the Arcanum Public Library will be closed January 1st for New Year’s Day, we are looking forward to hosting many community events throughout the month of January.
Adult Winter Reading Program will begin on January 7th, so please stop in and sign up to win for a chance to win some of our great prizes. Storytime will resume January 9th and continue every Thursday at 10:00AM with a new letter of the alphabet each week. Our after-school program will be moving to every Thursday from 3:45-4:30PM beginning on January 9th with fun activities changing each week such as Legos, crafts, game day, and cocoa and coloring.
Every Monday in the month of January at 9:30AM there will be a Stretch and Tone class open to the community, and on Wednesday, January 8th and 22nd from 1-3:00PM is a Craft and Chat group open for children 6 and up to bring their craft projects and work alongside other crafters.
Some of our special programs of the month include:
- January 2nd at 10:00AM Reptile Frenzy with Hatcher’s Hatchlings
- January 6th at 6:00PM our Adult and Teen Craft of creating 2025 Vision Boards
- January 10th at 3:30PM we invite all school age kids to stop in and learn about the opportunities available in our Join a 4-H Club program with Darke County Ohio State Extension Office
- January 13th at 6:ooPM will be an open Euchre Card Night
- January 17th at 1:45PM, we invite all families to join us for a movie matinee
- January 24th at 1:ooPM we’re excited to host the Darke County Parks Department in learning from their Winter Bird Program
