Axel Silas Gurewicz, infant son of Mikayla C. Hinzman and Shade L. Gurewicz of Greenville passed away at 5:59 pm Friday, February 11, 2022, at Kettering Medical Center. Axel was born Friday, February 11, 2022, at 6:45 am, 4 pounds 15 ounces and 18 ¼ inches long.
In addition to his parents, Axel is survived by his brother, Shade Lee Gurewicz Jr.; grandparents, Adam & Ekaterina Gurewicz of Garrettsville, Marty & Christine Poston of Greenville and Tracy Esposito of Virginia; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Axel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Hinzman and aunt, Sydney Hinzman.
A celebration of Axel’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery in Greenville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
