Barbara A. Brewer age 84, of Greenville passed away at 10:55 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Barbara was born June 29, 1937, in Darke County to the late Herschel Ray & Loretta Mae (Bunger) Swank. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Wayne Brewer; brothers, Ray, Harry and Marvin Swank; and sisters, Kathleen Rife Baker and Phyllis North.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Emerson D. Brewer whom she married March 15, 1954; children, Allen & Carol Brewer of Atwater, Ohio, and Lori & Woody Conway of Greenville, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, George Swank of Nappanee, Indiana; sister-in-law, Ruby K. Fenstemaker of Versailles, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara retired from Whirlpool in Greenville and later retired from the KitchenAid Store in Greenville. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Trinity Wesleyan Church 1400 E. Main St. Greenville with Pastor Andrew Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church or EverHeart Hospice.
