Our beautiful mother, Barbara Katherine (Ringo) Hicks, sadly passed away on January 28, 2024, in Naples, Florida.
Barbara was born in Marion, Indiana, and graduated from Eastside High in Union City Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Hicks, whom she married in 1956, and who passed away in 2003; and her brother, Bill.
Barbara was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She moved to Naples in 1979, where she went to work for the Baker center. From there she worked many years for the beloved Barron Collier Corporation.
Barbara is survived by her children Susie Hicks of Greenville, Sheila Beaver of Fort Myers, Florida, and Jody (Shirley) Hicks of Naples, Florida; her 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren; her siblings, Sheila, Harold, and Connie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the strongest, most kind, gentle, and loving woman we have ever known. She will be truly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Oak Grave Cemetery.
