O-Negative Blood Needed; Donate at the Dayton Donor Center Dec. 23 – Jan. 4 and Receive a $25 Electronic Gift Card
DAYTON, Ohio — One meaningful way to celebrate this season of giving? Become a holiday hero and save lives through blood donation.
Dayton residents can donate at Versiti Blood Center of Ohio’s Dayton Community Blood Center between Monday, Dec. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 4, and receive a $25 electronic gift card redeemable at over 250 retailers nationwide as a token of gratitude.
All blood types are needed, though O-negative is currently the greatest demand. Blood donation commonly supports victims of traumatic accidents, cancer patients and those undergoing an organ transplant.
“Donating blood is a wonderful way to share your holiday spirit and give the most precious gift,” said Tracy Morgan, Vice President for Donor Services at Versiti Blood Center of Ohio. “One donation, which takes less than an hour, can save as many as three lives.”
Give the ultimate gift and turn the holidays into a time of hope: Walk-ins are welcome at the Dayton Center — bring your family and make it a holiday outing! — or make an appointment by calling (937) 461-3220.
