Betty J. Brown Shell, 83 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at 1:36 PM at her residence. Betty was born March 19, 1940 in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter W. and June E. (Lea) Sharp.
Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family; she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches, canning, and garage saling.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, Gary L. Brown on December 20, 2016; and her daughter Terri Hollar.
Betty is survived by her husband, Paul “Red” Shell of Greenville; her children and spouses, Dianna (Brown) Minnich of Lafollette, Tennessee, Carol (Gary) Nichols of New Paris, Ohio, Dan Brown of New Madison, Ohio, Dennis Brown of New Madison, Ohio. Ron (Lisa) Brown of New Madison, Ohio, Darlene (Ed) Lizak of Fairfield, Ohio, and Kelli (James) Holliday of Greenville, Ohio; her step children, Paul (Becky) Shell Jr. of Greenville, Ohio, Patty (Tracy) Aldora of Greenville, Ohio, and April (Tanner) Kirchner of Greenville, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters, Linda Robinson, and Marilyn Duvall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday November 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
