Betty Lou Archie age 84, of Union City, Ohio, passed away at 9:18 am Monday, October 24, 2022, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
Betty was born September 19, 1938, in Darke County to the late Chalmer M. & Hazel Almena (McCown) Okey. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest L. Archie whom she married April 16, 1966; great grandchildren, Phillip Demmings, Jamir Okey, Sacara Mona Evon Gardner and Harmony Evon Williams; brother, Marvin Okey; sister, Martha Crawford; niece, Tammy Okey Adams; and nephews, Jimmy Okey, Terry Crawford, Paul Edward Okey and Eddie Spicer.
Betty is survived by her children, Darrell L. Archie of Union City, Ohio, Connie Lou (Okey) & Richard Thompson of Greenfield, Indiana, and Bonnie Lou Okey of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; step children, Steve Archie, Michael Archie, Ronnie Archie and Roxanne Archie Sanders; sister, June Spicer; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Richard Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Bass Cemetery in Darke County.
