(Strait) Overholser, born on June 26, 1926 in Greenville, Ohio.
As well as her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Dickey. The two were married on July 3rd, 1946. Her siblings, Jack L. Overholser, Bob J. Overholser, Doris I. Overholser, and Dorothy M. Bunger.

Throughout her life, music and playing the piano were a source of happiness. She had a special bond with her sisters, with whom she enjoyed countless hours playing the piano and singing together. As a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church in Greenville, Ohio, Betty was known for her kind heart and warm spirit. She had made many cherished friendships there. Her faith was unwavering, and she touched many lives with her kindness. Her family was incredibly important to her. She worked at The Palace Department Store in Greenville for many years, most remember her as a tall, always put together in her dressing, hairstyles, and makeup being just so. Betty had to have everything clean and “just so” at her home. Even when she had started living at Village Green she could be found, even at midnight, sweeping the floors and dusting.
She will always be remembered for her love of music, her kind spirit, her wonderful sense of style, and the way she brightened every room she entered. You will forever be missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. The family asks that you wear more casual attire for the service.
