Betty Ruth (Holsopple) Vietor, 98 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 28, 2022 at 5:35 PM at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio. She was born May 28, 1923 in Van Buren Twp., Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Dora (Hunt) Holsopple.
Betty was a homemaker, volunteered at Wayne Healthcare; and was a member of Fort Black Eastern Star where she served as the Worthy Matron; she was also a member of the Women of the Moose; Eta Pi Kappa; she loved to play euchre and golf; and especially loved her dog Lucky.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Wallace Vietor; and her sisters: Arlene Holsopple, and Evelyn Hall.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter in law: Eric “Rick” and Nancy Vietor of Panama City Beach, Florida; her grandson: Nate Vietor of Greenville, N.C.; her brother and sister in law: Ronald and Shirley Holsopple of Greenville; her niece: Lois Hoblit and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday February 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Sylvia McKibben officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Foundation, 323 S. Broadway. Greenville, Ohio 45331.
