The three-day spectacle, packed with high-octane racing and emotional tributes, culminated in a thrilling finale that saw Bobby Pierce emerge victorious, claiming his second World 100 crown.
The action kicked off on Thursday with Night 1 of the World 100. Fans were treated to an exhilarating start as the best drivers in dirt late model racing took to the track. In the Group A A-Feature, Ryan Gustin showcased his prowess, securing a win and pocketing a $12,000 prize. Meanwhile, Hudson O’Neal demonstrated his talent in the B-Group, also winning his A-Feature and earning the same monetary reward. The night set the tone for a weekend of intense competition and high stakes.

Night 2 saw the competition heat up even further. Jonathan Davenport, a formidable presence on the dirt track, captured the A-Feature victory in Group A, displaying his exceptional skill and strategy. O’Neal continued his impressive performance by winning the A-Feature of the B-Group for the second consecutive night. His consistency positioned him as a serious contender heading into the final race.

Saturday’s main event was nothing short of spectacular. The 54th World 100 unfolded over 100 grueling laps, packed with drama and excitement. The race saw eight lead changes among four different drivers, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
Bobby Pierce, who started strong from the second row, showcased his endurance and racing acumen. As the race approached its climax, Pierce made a decisive move, taking the lead with just three laps remaining. His strategic drive and precise maneuvering earned him his second World 100 trophy, a remarkable achievement after his first win in 2016. Dale McDowell, who began the race from pole position, finished a commendable second, while Jonathan Davenport, who started alongside Pierce, rounded out the top three.

Honoring a Legend
Saturday also marked a poignant moment as the racing community came together for a Celebration of Life in honor of Scott Bloomquist. Bloomquist, a legendary figure in dirt late model racing, tragically lost his life in a recent airplane crash. The heartfelt tribute served as a reminder of the profound impact Bloomquist had on the sport and the deep respect he commanded among his peers and fans.

In addition to the thrilling races, the weekend also highlighted emerging talent. Ethan Dotson was named the 2024 World 100 Rookie of the Race, earning the Shane Unger Memorial Rookie Award, presented by Mike and Jan Unger.
