Brian Michael Esser, 46, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
He was born on April 19, 1976, in Greenville, Ohio, to Sue (Turner) Esser of Greenville, and the late John M. Esser, who passed away on March 18, 2022.
In addition to his father, Brian was preceded in death by his beautiful baby girl, Allison Bree.
Brian was the poster child for adaptability and determination. Before his illness, he was an automobile technician. He took his dad’s old Dodge Dakota and converted it into a race truck, completely rebuilding the engine. He documented the process on his YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/BrianEssersGarage/videos) for all to see and learn from. He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, kayaking, photography, and bike riding.
As his health and mobility began to fail, Brian turned his talents to working on and building computers. He was an avid, some would say compulsive, collector of vintage video games and consoles. When he became more confined to his bed, he intended to play and live stream his video game exploits for everyone to watch and follow. Until the end, Brian was always looking for ways to overcome his limitations and be self-sufficient and independent. This fighting spirit served him well and inspired all who witnessed it.
In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his sister, Krista (Blain) Henderson of Ansonia, Ohio, and their children, Trinity and Zane: his brother, Andrew (Amy Schlecty) Esser of Greenville, and his children, Madisyn and Jameson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family invites you to join them for a reception of friends while they celebrate the lives of Brian and his dad, John, on Sunday, May 8, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
Brian and John will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
