Bud C. Overholser, 88 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday May 13, 2022 at 2:20 PM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Bud was born March 26, 1934 in Rossburg, Ohio, the son of the late Virgil and Ruth (Brown) Overholser.
Bud worked as a manager at Whirlpool for 40 plus years; he rode his motorcycle all across the United States with his wife Phyllis; he loved the outdoors especially golfing, camping, boating, and snowmobiling; and he loved to winter in Florida.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Phyllis A. Overholser on August 9, 2016 whom he married July 19, 1952; his son Ben Overholser; his grandson: Christopher S. Overholser; and his brothers Richard and Larry Overholser.
Bud is survived by his children: Sonnie and Bob Rhoades of Webster, Ohio, Steve and Gracie Overholser of Greenville, Boo and Peggy Overholser of Bradford; his daughter in law: Gail Overholser of Greenville; his grandchildren: Marie and Brent Carity, Carrie and Eric Behlke, Emily and Rick Clark, Niki Routt, Tyler and Keona Overholser, Mandi and Joe Zwiesler, Lydia and Jeremy Brenner, Aaron and Lindsey Overholser and Josh and Jennifer Overholser; 20 great grandchildren; his sister and close friend: Barbara Christner of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Kelly Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
