Cancer Association of Darke County is looking for volunteer drivers to drive cancer patients to appointments.
At times, some of the patients are unable to drive to appointments for various reasons.
If you would like the opportunity to give back to the community, this is a worthwhile activity and very much appreciated by the patient and family.
The appointments may be local, or out of the county. As a volunteer driver, you are never obligated to say yes, it’s just much appreciated when you do.
The requirements to be a driver are as follows: the driver must have a valid driver license and carry auto insurance.
If desired, the driver can turn in a mileage form for some reimbursement. Currently the reimbursement is 25 cents a mile up to $135/month.
