Carol Sue Class, 83 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born on March 5, 1940 in Union City, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Welch) Kaugher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Bernard Class Jr.; her daughter, Sue Hollinger; her brothers, Robert, Jack, Tom, and Walter Kaugher.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Brian and Patty Class of Greenville; her grandchildren, Sarah Stump and husband Shelby of Union City, Ohio, Ryan Class & Jessica Kimmel of Greenville, and Rachel Class of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Summer, Jacob, Tori, Landen, and Logan all of Greenville; her brother and sister in law, Ronnie and Sharon Kaugher; her sister, Sandra King; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked at Westinghouse for many years, then worked at Whirlpool where she retired after 25 years. She grew up in Union City; she loved spending time with her family and her two cats Lucky and Chole Sue; she enjoyed watching the game show, cooking, being involved in church, and walking with her neighbors in the evenings.
Services will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Paul Calvert officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society.
