Carol J. Lenker

Carol J. Lenker, 92, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away with her family by her side, on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Brookdale of Greenville.

She was born on December 29, 1928, in Mercer County, Ohio, to the late Earl J. and Stella M. Wolfe.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Culver, and her second husband, Marvin Lenker; and her daughter, Mary Culver.

Carol was a 1946 graduate of Neptune High School in Mercer County. Carol helped her husband, Robert with their business, Ansonia Tool and Die Co., where she was the secretary, which included her delivering molds throughout the tri-state area. She also enjoyed helping Marvin on the farm. Carol spent several years volunteering as an EMT for Ansonia Rescue. She also was a clerk at K-Mart for many years. Carol enjoyed traveling with Marvin, while they delivered RV’s throughout the country. She enjoyed being with her family and writing poetry. Carol enjoyed leading music, playing the piano and singing for weddings when she attended Rossburg Methodist Church.

Carol is survived by her children, Kathy (Ron) Widener of Rossburg, Jackie (Dane) Whittington of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Janice (Danny) Via of Sarastoa, Florida, Joyce (Dale) Lyme of Greenville, Mike (Heidee) Culver of Temecula, California; her step children, Betty (Edward) O’Shea of New Jersey, Ron (Dan) Drish of Vermont, Brenda (Les) Gibson of Florida, Barbara (Jim) Mott of Arkansas, and Shirley (Allan) Phillippi of Ansonia; her 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and her 9 step grandchildren, 21 step great grandchildren, and 3 step great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of Carol’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Greenville Missionary Church in Greenville with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Guests may visit with Carol’s family on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM at the church.
